The GAI is a union very similar to the GA union. However it is installed in an inverted configuration: the housing is mounted in the machine and the rotor connected to a hose. This can be a solution when there is a space problem. This installation makes the union also more robust. The materials are the same: hardened stainless steel rotor that is supported bu premium bearing in an aluminum housing. This union is used frequently in hydraulic clutch applications. The seal is made with a carbon seal against the hardened rotor or in some cases a a silicium carbide seal. The seal faces are micro lapped in our factory to guarantee optimal sealing.
