Special heat treatment gives to the rotor high hardness permitting to obtain an integrated sealing face.

The stationary ring, made of impregnated graphite, guarantees high resistance to wearing and allows dry running for short periods.

An optimized balancing ratio, derived from the long experience in Fluiten nechanical seals, reduces to a minimum the friction torque even at high pèressure, permitting a regular and durable performance of the rotary union.

For service with hydraulic oil and pressure up to 200bar a special veriosn with stationary ring in bronze is available.
